About a month after the incident took place, a video of the ground staff of IndiGo airlines assaulting a passenger went viral on social media recently. The viral clip shows a passenger, Rajeev Katiyal, being assaulted and dragged on the tarmac by the staff of IndiGo airlines at the Delhi airport. It caused a wave of anger in the country and forced the airlines to apologise.
In the video, a passenger is first seen being stopped from entering a coach, then pulled back by a ground staff. Another airline employee is seen restraining the traveller.
The passenger fought back and fell to the ground in the melee.
The incident happened on October 15. See the video:

Indigo has a clear and efficient division of labour.
Their air crew takes passenger up in the air.
Their ground staff takes passengers down to the ground.

United : We bet we can handle disagreeing passengers in a civil manner, without a social media disaster.
Indigo : Hold my beer…#TarmacTerrorTape

Do nothing for 3 weeks, sack whistle-blower, & put perfunctory apology when exposed.
Indigo is not a low-cost airline.
Just a cheap airline.

Now you don’t need to travel with American airlines like United to get beaten up. Our very own Indigo is there to serve you.#MakeInIndia
