Anupam Kher is The New Chairman of FTII And We See A Ray of Hope

Just in a very rare case, what FTII is? FTII stands for Film and Television Institute of India and is one of the premier Film Schools in India aided by the Central Government of India. Some of the notable alumni of the Institute includes Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Jaya Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Rajkummar Rao to give you an idea.

Finally, a good thing has happened, all the FTII drama has found a closure.  FTII has appointed Anupam Kher as its new Chairman. He will be replacing Gajendra Chauhan who got notoriously famous his background and FTII row and triggered a massive protest.

Anupam Kher is critically acclaimed actor has a vast repertoire of Hindi films, theatre and crossover projects like Bend It Life Beckham and Silver Linings Playbook to his credit. He has headed the censor board and the National School of Drama in the past. The national award winner is also an alumnus of the elite drama.

Kiron Kher, Mr Kher’s wife Kirron Kher, an actor and a BJP lawmaker said “He will be a very good chairman. He has the credentials for this. I am very happy…thank you (Narendra) Modi ji, thank you Smriti Irani for this,”
